The World's Most Popular Cruising Catamarans

Lagoon's market leadership is attributed to breakthrough design innovation - salons with breathtaking panoramic views, galley-up designs integrated into the salon, seaworthy performance hulls, and classic styling elegance. Lagoon's unique vertical coach-roof windows have successfully created a new styling paradigm.

Today, Lagoon builds more than 150 hulls a year with seven models ranging from 38 to 67 feet long. The spectacular all-new 440 and 500 models have pushed the design envelope even further with raised panoramic flybridge and unique forward cockpit lounging areas.

  Lagoon 380

The Lagoon 380 holds the cruising catamaran world production record with more than 600 units built. She offers 2 layout versions: 3 or 4 double cabins. In the 4 cabin version, the washroom is between the forward and the aft cabins and the two hulls are symmetrical. In the 3 cabin version, the starboard hull is dedicated exclusively to the owners’ suite with: office and library, queen size bed, separate large shower.

The Lagoon 380 is the result of many years’ experience from VPLP, the architects, and the Lagoon R & D department. It shows in the way the boat has been thought out: access to engines from the transoms, large cockpit with table and bench seat, electric windlass, rigid walkway on the trampoline, wide sidedecks, and much more.

  Lagoon 400
  The Lagoon 400 truly shows the know-how acquired by the yard since 1984. Whether in the 2 or 3- cabin version, balance is the keyword:
  • Balance between volume and performance;
  • Saloon and cockpit;
  • Cabins and washrooms;
  • Accommodation and deck spaces.

  • Also the harmony of soft lines is reminiscent of the famous Lagoon 410’s simplicity and inspired by the Lagoon 620’s charm and elegance.

  Lagoon 421

The Lagoon 421 represents a summary of the expectations of the users of this category of cruising catamarans.
Naturally, she benefits from all the strong points the Lagoon 420 is famous for:

  • outstanding comfort for a 42’ catamaran (3 or 4 cabin versions available) including an independent washroom with toilet and shower for each cabin,
  • a safe and comfortable deck layout (wide side decks, easy circulation, excellent overall ergonomics…)
  • the famous “gull wing shaped” bridgedeck that prevents from slamming into big waves is continued forward so as to receive the anchor roller and an optional strut to fit a gennaker.

  Lagoon 450

The VPLP architects, together with Lagoon and the world renown  Nauta Yachts design office succeeded beautifully in evolving the exceptional 440 with the development of the new Lagoon 450.

Of course, the irreplaceable qualities of the Lagoon 440 have been retained as a starting point : a steering station on the fly bridge accessible from both sides of the cockpit, a forward cockpit, performance under sail…and an incomparable comfort in the saloon and the cabins.

Larger and with a bigger sail area, the Lagoon 450 also benefits from important improvements in terms of safety, performance and cruising comfort: the aft transoms are better protected for easy boarding from a tender, the cockpit is larger and the access to the steering station has also been made easier…and the sunbathing area on the fly bridge is something unseen on a catamaran this size yet.

  Lagoon 500

The architects Marc Van Peteghem and Vincent Lauriot Prevost gave the Lagoon 500 2 qualities that show right away when sailing: her speed and seaworthiness are outstanding.

  Lagoon 560

The new Lagoon 560 fills the gap between the Lagoon 620, our flagship of the range, and the Lagoon 500, the unrivalled 50’ blue water cruising catamaran with more than 130 units delivered by the end of 2010.

Like all Lagoons, she is a VPLP design. As for the interior, Lagoon asked the famous Nauta Yachts design office to join the team, which certainly was decisive in placing her one step ahead of the competition, whether in terms of comfort, ergonomics or style.

In the creation of the LAGOON 67, a genuine masterpiece, naval architects Marc Van Peteghem and Vincent Lauriot-Prevost have taken the concept of the luxury maxi-catamaran into a new dimension by simultaneously increasing space, comfort, and performance. Drawing full benefit of the potential afforded by the only leading boatbuilder possessing an Reasearch & Developement department dedicated to modern materials for the larger yacht, the design duo have produced and oustanding unit in terms of speed and handling or comfort.

As the eye travels from stem to stern over the 270 square foot cockpit area through the 375 square foot saloon aft to the 16'5 long luxury master cabin, there can be no doubting that LAGOON has written catamaran with a capital "C".
